Country Concerts comprises a fully qualified team of entertainment specialists. Our expertise in event organisation is unparalleled. The team is headed up by our two chief executives, Paul King and Linda Harris.
Paul King
Paul has been a concert promoter for over 25 years, and during that time has planned and organised many major events in the UK. Paul was the first promoter to stage an open-air concert at Scotland's National Stadium, Hampden Park. The show featured Genesis and was attended by the Princess Royal in her capacity as President of The Save the Children Fund.
Paul continues to hold the record at the Wembley Complex for the longest run of consecutive shows by one artist. Dire Straits played for fourteen nights, the first being in the presence of The Prince and Princess of Wales, in aid of The Prince's Trust.
To date, the largest concert organised by Paul was the Silver Clef Knebworth concert, which featured Pink Floyd, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard, Genesis, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Status Quo and Tears for Fears. The event was attended by 120,000 people and has since been broadcast globally on both radio and television, helping to raise in excess of £6 million for the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity.
Linda Harris
Linda has promoted music events regularly for over 12 years, running one of the most successful smooth jazz clubs in Berkshire. She was responsible for the biggest Marlow Festival in its five year history.
She pioneered the concept of intimate dinner concerts with major artists and her most recent success featured The Crusaders with Randy Crawford and Ray Parker Jnr.
Other artists she has worked with extensively include Alexander O’Neal, The Stylistics, Incognito, Jocelyn Brown , Jean Carne, Billy Paul, Bob James, Womack & Womack, Average White Band, Peter White & Roy Ayers.
